Painting
I use oil stick, acrylic paint, wax and ink on canvas, paper or wood panels in my painting.
Abstract form is the language of emotion and knowing. Like music, it can express deep feelings and understanding of life without words. I changed art forms several years ago after primarily being a photographer and then moving into collage and artist books. I made a decision not to exhibit my work while I developed these new bodies of work. This allowed me to explore new materials and means of expressing ideas and feelings in the solitude of my studio, without concern for the practical side of promoting and selling my art.
