Collage
Made up of found text, various papers (both vintage and new), plus found and original photographs, my collages are a re-ordering of images and ideas into a new visual thought. I love old how-to manuals, dictionaries, music books, shorthand manuals, and other reference books as material for my collages. I am drawn to written instructions, rules, regulations, and procedures as a starting point. Out of context, these words and images take on totally new, often poignant or funny, meanings.
