Like music, abstract form can express without words deep feelings and understanding of life.
I changed art forms several years ago after primarily working in photography and alternative photographic processes. From there, I transitioned into making collage and artist books, and now drawing and mixed media artwork. In a way, this felt like starting over. I decided to take a break from exhibiting my work while I experimented with these new techniques. Not showing my work felt like a risk, but it allowed me to find new means of self-expression in the solitude of my studio. Although these works are created in dissimilar mediums, there is a visual thread that connects them to one another – to me, they are seamless.
