Drawing
I create art intuitively, drawing from my inner experiences and responding to color, movement, and gesture. Sometimes the images in my mind are clear and realistic; other times, they’re more abstract, like a feeling or a fleeting dream. When I draw, I try to set aside any judgments and let the artwork develop naturally.
In my first series, I combine graphite drawing with artist crayon. These pieces reflect my emotional landscape, capturing moments of anxiety and calm. The colors represent the various emotions and reactions that come with being a sensitive person in the world. I’ve named each piece after locations on the moon, which adds an element of beauty and intrigue.
The second series focuses on simplicity, using a limited palette of just a few colors. This approach encourages me to look closely at familiar subjects and distill them down to their essential elements. It’s about finding depth in the everyday and appreciating the beauty that can be found in the ordinary.
