Mixed Media
In my mixed media work, I blend drawing, collage, and printmaking using a variety of materials like ink, acrylic paint, oil stick, wax, graphite, and artist crayon. This opens up a world of possibilities, allowing for a more relaxed and intuitive way of creating. I love how mark-making and gesture can express emotions and ideas in ways that words sometimes can’t.
My current series draws inspiration from maps and the intriguing nature of encrypted language. The images take on shapes that evoke land masses, and I connect them through fictional latitude and longitude markings. This connection feels like a personal exploration of familiar yet distant places.
The abstract lines in my work hint at written language but remain just out of reach. They seem to hold information, inviting viewers to look closer and engage with the pieces as if sharing a secret that’s not fully revealed.
